We were away to Mastergeeha on Saturday for our second outing against them this year. We started the game at a very slow pace which didn’t suit us but we were well on top for the first quarter of the game with our forwards Robert, Conor and Eoin causing problems for them. They broke from a fast kick out and in numbers came at our defenders Gavin, Ciaran and Luke and only from some great goalkeeping from Jack we would have gone one down. Going in at half-time they were by far the happier.
HALF-TIME: 0-0
The second half was a different story as we went at them from the whistle and with our midfielders Darragh, Elliot, Jordan and Liam winning midfield it was only a matter of time before we scored. That’s when our inform forward Conor scored. One up and we had them rattled then came Darragh with our second and we started to relax and enjoy the game. Greg, Liam and Denis were on now and slotted into play quickly. Our third goal came from that man again Darragh. Liam and Darragh worked a great free kick and the keeper trying his best to keep it out but the power putting it to the net.
Final score 0 – 3.
Great second half performance but need to start our games a lot faster.
