It was a fresh sunny morning for Park U14B’s first league game against Killarney Celtic B at Killarney. Park got off to a great start with almost all the possession. The first 20 minutes were played mostly in the Killarney half. However after that poor defensive play by Park saw Killarney snatch a goal. Park had a number of efforts saved by good goal keeping on the Killarney side. At the break it was 1-0 to Killarney.
A change in formation at half time saw Park come out strongly and after 10 minutes a lovely assist by Matt Healy put Leonit Salihaj on the ball and he made no mistake in scoring the equaliser. 5 minutes later lovely play by Danny Fisher on the left wing was finished off by a cracking shot which found the roof of the net. 2-1 Park. Park continued to play well but with 10 minutes remaining another defensive error by Park let Killarney through and they equalised. Killarney had another couple of chances but they were excellently stopped by Huge Emmerson in goal. The game finished 2-2.
It was impossible to pick a man of the match but Leonit, Huge and Danny deserve a mention for their contribution.
