Match Summaries
St Brendans Park FC 4-0 Maree/Oranmore
The squad got of to a great start with a performance everyone has become accustomed to. High intensity passing football and boys that give 100 percent everytime they cross the line. All 16 boys playing their part in a real squad performance.Captain: Mark Riordan
Park Goals: Brendan Duggan(2), Fionn Clancy(1), Kylan O’Carroll(1)
St Brendans Park FC 1-4 Finn Harps
Unfortunately our boys went down today to a strong Finn Harps outfit. We were very unlucky to pick up 3 injuries early on when Darragh got a hand injury and Adrian and Brendan also having to go off with injuries. As a result it took us a while to adapt and we found ourselves behind to 2 quick goals by the Harps. Nevertheless our boys are resolute and got back into the game with a great finish by Calvin. However, with the changes we had to make through the injuries Harps got in to get another 2 late goals.Captain: Brendan Duggan
Park Goals: Calvin O’Sullivan(1)
St Brendans Park FC 3-0 Mervue Utd
Absolutely brilliant performance by our boys this morning against a strong local side Mervue Utd. Fionn Clancy deputizing for the injured Darragh O’Connor had a solid game but it was Calvin O’Sullivan who stole the show with a stunning Hat-trick. All the squad again played their part in a result that puts them into the Cup Semi-Final against the host club Salthill Devon.Captain: Fionn Clancy
Park Goals: Calvin O’Sullivan(3)
St Brendans Park FC 3-2 Salthill Devon
Another excellent game by our boys who put in a quaility display of high intensity passing and pressing football. The line was again led by Calvin O’Sullivan who receiving quality ball from his teammates had the Park 3 up within 35mins. A spirited fightback from the hosts in the second half to bring the game back to within a goal was not enough to worry the team who put in a spirited defensive effort.Captain: Shane Griffin
Park Goals: Calvin O’Sullivan(3)
St Brendans Park FC 1-5 Finn Harps
This was always going to be a tough game as Finn Harps had proven themselves to be a quality side, The game started well with the Park matching Finn harps for intensity and commitment for 25mins. However 3 quick goals five minutes before half time saw Park going into the break knowing we had a lot of work to do in the second half. The second half started much the same as the first with both teams again trying to impose their style of football upon each other, however injuries and tiredness on our side saw Finn Harps scoring another 2 goals. But a late goal by Calvin O’Sullivan saw Park finally on the scoreboard, but unfortunately time was against us and despite the boys putting in a fantastic display of soccer it just was not our day.Captain: Calvin O’Sullivan
Park Goals: Calvin O’Sullivan(1)
