The last league game of 2012 saw us get a comfortable 3 points . It didn’t seem like it would be when after 27 minutes the game was tied at 3-3 .
The game started and we were ahead in the first minute thanks to Antony Murphy. It was 1-1 five minutes later . Then Aaron Eager gave us the lead again in the 9th minute only for Rattoo to score in the 10th minute to make it 2-2 . we went back ahead agin in the 26th minute thanks to a Mark o Sullivan free kick but again Rattoo equalized within a minute for a 3-3 game . Two minutes later and we were 4-3 ahead with Mark o Sullivan getting his second and within a minute we were 5-3 up when Mike Conway broke through to score . Antony Murphy grabbed his second on the 39th minute mark to leave the game at 6-3 at half time .
The second half only lasted 25 minutes before the Referee called for full time on the 70 minute mark but before that we managed to score 3 goals without reply, David Clifford 49th minute (7-3), Antony Murphy got his hat-trick on 56 mins (8-3) and Mike Conway got his second in the 62nd minute. Rattoo manage to get one back before Aaron Eager got his second in the 69th minute to make it 10-4.
The Calendar year for us now ends with us as the reigning Premier A League Champions . We have had a great 2012 reaching a Munster Final for the first time in the clubs history and are still in the FAI Junior Cup with the last 32 match in two weeks . Hopefully 2013 will be another successful year , we have played 17 games already this season and have only lost on 3 occasions with one-off those on penalties . Keep up the hard work and the rewards will come again.
