Park u16 won 8-1 against fenit in the league..
A good result from the lads as we started the game well we scored after good work from Luke Moynihan he cut in from the right and hit a left foot shot from about 20 yards that squirmed under the keepers body and in to the corner. After the goal we were very sloppy in possession and gifted fenit a chance when a the fenit striker latched on to a ball in from the right wing and wasn’t picked up and stand in keeper tommy lynch who usually plays at full back got out to meet the player made a good save but we didn’t take notice if that warning sign as we gifted fenit a penalty which they scored to make it 1-1.
With 5mins left in the 1st half Sam Tarrant making his 1st start for us unleashed a wicked effort from a free kick from about 30yards in to the top corner giving the keeper no chance.. The 2nd half started and we came to life with Fergal Ryan scoring within seconds of the restart beating 3 men before placing his effort in to the corner from 20yards.. The Fenit heads dropped and Sam Tarrant added to his tally with a good header at the back post after a good delivery from Luke.. The game was wrapped up in style as Ferdia O’Brien continued his streak of scoring in every game for us this season as he got on to the end if a great flowing move when Fergal slipped him in he calmly slotted the ball home from just inside the area.. As did Fergal as he grabbed his 2nd of the day after a mix up in their box Fergal made no mistake from 10 yards. Segun then added 2 more as he scored his 1st goals for us this season to make it a comprehensive win for us out in Fenit.
