On a lovely evening ideal for bright passing football, Park produced a display to match the evening and the perfect playing surface .Some of the one touch passing combinations were very impressive and appreciated by a decent size crowd .Park took an early lead through James Duggan who was on hand to finish off a lovely flowing passing movement . Good work by Shane McLoughlin resulted in a second for Duggan and when Paddy Collins made it 3-0 after 25 minutes the game looked beyond a brave Celtic side .
The second half produced much of the same and Duggan completed his hat- trick early on before Sean Dukes scored a superb goal, his first of the season ,from right back . Duggan completed the evenings scoring with his fourth and Parks’ sixth.
The management team had the rare luxury of being able to take off two Irish internationals early in the second half, without weakening the teams performance.
While all the lads played well, special mentions for the quality of finishing from James Duggan and an outstanding display from centre- half Dale Mulvihill who looked pure class throughout the entire game .
The lads have two league games left against Listowel and Killarney Athletic and if they keep producing displays on a par with tonight, they are capable of topping the table.
Congratulations to Regional United, who knocked our lads out of the National Cup, on reaching the final .
