St Brendan’s Park FC u9s had a hectic schedule on Saturday as we traveled to Fenit to play against Fenit Samphires. Due to our squad size we took 20 players and left as many again at home as they prepare to face Camp Juniors next Saturday.
The 2 teams that went to Fenit played 2 matches against the hosts. We played the 7v7 format which worked very well. Both clubs enjoyed the afternoon. The players displayed great skill and determination in the 4 matches played on a cold December afternoon. The attitude from all players was exceptional and the players are a credit to themselves and their clubs. Many thanks to Fenit for inviting us out to play.
Meanwhile earlier on the same day the remainder of our u9 squad enjoyed a fantastic training session at Christy Leahy Park working on the 7v7 format. The players practiced well and will be in great shape for their trip to Camp next week. More matches will follow after Christmas and we all look forward to seeing this group of players continuing their hard work into 2018 and beyond.
