At Mounthawk Park on Saturday it was the we opened the brightest in the John Murphy U12 Cup final but sadly we could not find that early breakthrough.
Midway through the first half we fell behind from a good Killorglin Fc attack. For the remainder fo the first half we tried hard to get level but the Killorglin keeper deined us on numerous occasions with one brilliat save to deny Jamie O’Shea.
Park keeper Richie Healy had to be alert early in the second half to keep us just a goal down . From here on we piled the pressure o and it finally told in the final tem minutes.
After forcing two corners Odhran Ferris was the quickest to react to the second corner following a great Crosby save and he made no mistake to levelled matters.
We then went in search of a a winner and Ray McGrath forced the Killorglin into another save before the decisive late late winner. McGrath’s perfectly hit corner was headed home by Darragh Cunnane with less than 3 minutes remaining to ensure the Park win the John Murphy Cup for 201617 . Man of the match was Obina Izahi .
